I am also awaiting by my request to see Endo To check Pituatry gland as i have lactating breast ( even though total Hysterectomy and son age 30 yrs ?) I am unable to function fully in a morrning and finding it hard to get out of bed till mid-day , this is really getting me down .Any suggestions ? Guest guest
Hi Gillian, I get those symptoms too despite hysterectomy years ago - also had this happening before thyroid was removed with levels both hyper and hypo. Is your TSH suppressed? Would more T3 help, have you tried that? Guest guest
Dear Gillian, have a look at the attached document and see whether any of these associated conditions could be the root of your problem. Once the problem has been identified and treated with supplements, it is only then that the thyroid hormone replacement will start to work as it should. You can do the three questionnaires in our FILES section, which you can access from the Home page of this web site http://health.groups//group/thyroid treatment and click on FILES in the Menu. Scroll down the list on the page that opens, and open the one entitle4d 'MEDICAL QUIESTIONNAIRES' and answer the questions there. These will tell you whether you are suffering with Adrenal fatigue, systemic candidiasis or low magnesium levels. See how you score and let us know. Guest guest
Hi gillian, you probably can't conver the inactive T4 to the active T3- try to get TSH ,Ft4 and FT3 tested whoich would show if the is the case- thoug the hyper may have desensitised you to thyroid hormones- in which case you will always need high doses. This would also explain the galactea- see 'gail's thyroid tips' sorry don't have the URL ,but should come up on a search. > thyroid treatment > From: gillianbroughton@...> Date: Mon, 24 Jan 2011 12:23:52 +0000> Subject: T3 v Natural desicated thyroid> > Hi Everyone I was taking thyroxine 100mcg for 20+ yrs due to partial thyroidectomy for Hyper thyroid . i was exposed to pesticides and then my body went toxic and could no longer tollerate thyroxine and have been taking T3 only 25mcgs split x 4 (50mgs ) i aso take Nutri adrenal extra , vit c , magnesium, calcium .
