Guest guest
Hi Jane, That one year estimate to recover may, in fact, be in the range 1-2yrs or even longer for all the 'niggling' signs and symptoms to reduce in intensity. Having just had 'that flu' my DW is taking longer to recover than me since she had a 'lapse of memory' during the worst of the infection that lasted at least twice as long as it did for me. Her physical recovery has been prolonged for similar reasons (on L-T4 and hydrocortisone). If you can keep to your recovery schedule by maintaining a consistent 'treatment regime' you should find many of the problems resolve with time as the proteins begin to fold properly instead of being made in the cells then chopped up again becaue you don't have the 'spare' energy to fold them properly. best wishes Bob > > Sheila - I really hope you will consider allowing this post. > > I was diagnosed with arrythmia, hypothyroidism and adrenal exhaustion, not from my TSH but from my T3 levels, about 18 months ago. I found supplementing T3 and Adrenal Extra worked for a while, then my symptoms came back, not as sever, but were still there. I always have had low body temperature even with thyroid meds. >
