Guest guest
Just received the following from Afshin who owns International Pharmacy. www.internationalpharmacy.com Has anybody anyi experience of NP Thyroid by Acella Pharmacueticals please. I haven't been to the site yet but will look tomorrow. Tis good to know we are getting even more choices of NDT. OUCH! Poor Afshin! Luv - Sheila Hi Sheila, How are you doing? How is doing? Please send him my regards. I hope you are doing well and this email finds you in good health. I tore my Achilles tendon end of last year and I am still recovering from the surgery. I can not run nor jump for another few months. Other than that Nita and I are doing well. There is a new brand of natural thyroid available here in the US now. It is by Acella Pharmaceuticals. NP Thyroid is their brand and it is available in 30mg, 60mg and 90mg strengths. I am not sure if the Acella brand is any different from the thyroid brands that I already have. I have added it to the site just in case anyone needs this specific brand. Have yourself a wonderful Spring! afshin
Guest guest
It's great he is carrying this now. I don't know anyone who is taking this so I wonder if it is like the new armour? Are there any problems with it? Does it need to be chewed or can you take it sublingual? http://www.internationalpharmacy.com/en/products/search/np+thyroid/1 Cheers, JOT
Guest guest
I just started taking this the other day as I was one of the many affected by the changes in Armour. It tastes sweet like the old armour. It doesn't melt quickly sublingually, however, if you break it up into several pieces it melts just as quickly and without the chalk taste. So far I have been able to cut back on cytomel but have not reverted to just using this NEW Armour yet alone. I will keep everyone informed. Hugs Mari It is great he is carrying this now. Guest guest
I have been looking at the ingredients for the Acella brand of Armour generic. I am seeing that they are adding "sodium" to the name which indicates not NDT but synthetic. I have a call into Acella to see if it was a typo or not. NP Thyroid = Acella NP Thyroid (thyroid tablets, USP) for oral use is a natural preparation derived from porcine thyroid glands. They contain both tetraiodothyronine sodium (T4 levothyroxine) and triiodothyronine sodium (T3 liothyronine) providing 38 mcg levothyroxine (T4) and 9 mcg liothyronine (T3) per grain of thyroid (or per 65 mg of the labeled amount of thyroid). The inactive ingredients are calcium stearate, dextrose monohydrate, maltodextrin and mineral oil. (this also has a similar odor as armour) Armour Thyroid = Forest Labs ArmourĀ® Thyroid (thyroid tablets, USP) for oral use is a natural preparation derived from porcine thyroid glands and has a strong, characteristic odor. (T3 liothyronine is approximately four times as potent as T4 levothyroxine on a microgram for microgram basis.) They provide 38 mcg levothyroxine (T4) and 9 mcg liothyronine (T3) per grain of thyroid. The inactive ingredients are calcium stearate, dextrose, microcrystalline cellulose, sodium starch glycolate and opadry white. Both came from Daily meds . com as you cannot get anything on the acella site. Even if the acella brand IS synthetic, it doesn't have providine (to which causes me issues in taking synthroid). Still more investigating to do and I am happy to be the group guinea pig heehee Hugs and be well ~Mari~ Thanks for the link, Sheila.Mari, I hope you will keep us posted on your relationship with Acella.... :0)Cheers,JOT

Guest guest
Hi there, if this product has any natural thyroid in it then it could be natural thyroid but if it has other synthetic then it may well be not natural. the thing is it is a bit confusing to say the least. well I am not going to take some thing that is not defined properly. regards angel. > > > > > > > > Thanks for the link, Sheila. > > Mari, I hope you will keep us posted on your relationship with > Acella.... :0) > > Cheers, > JOT >
