Guest guest
hi han, Perhaps in the summer, but I would double it at this time of the year. This is what my endo told me to do. Of course we are all different, but 1000 if low in the winter seems very low. Val I'm taking its Vit D3 1000iu daily - as my Vit D levels are very low does that seem ok? Guest guest
Hi there, did you know the powers to be. have changed the dosage on Vitamins and minerals, I take 5.000IU daily and before it was measured in mg. Just look on the web regarding Codex Elementarius. and see for yourself. HOPE THIS HELPS. Kind Regards Louise. > > I'm taking its Vit D3 1000iu daily - as my Vit D levels are very low does that seem ok? > I am thinking of emailing my endo my saliva results re the dreadful state of my adrenals and request a meeting with him. I am due to see him in about 6 weeks to check how the T3 is going. He will prob get a surprise to learn > that I never got anywhere near the dose of 40mcgs daily that he prescribed! Do they usually take notice of Genova results and prescribe HC? > I am going to start taking NAX in the meantime and was just wondering do thyroid meeds always need to be stopped before starting NAX and for how long? > Thanks > Han >
Guest guest
Hanna, By some miracle you may have an endo who will look at the test results and understand them and decide to help you..... or you may have an endo who feels undermined and threatened by any patient who dares to look for answers, so he belittles you and treats you as though you are stupid. Most of us have the second sort, but the first sort do exist. It may well be worth you showing him your test results and he may do something, until you try you don't know. However, write to him so he's got time to digest it and think about things... If you just slap them on his desk then it catches him off guard, shields go up and logic flies out of the window... He may well be surprised you were unable to take the t3, suggest you show him the patient info leaflet which should be with the t3, it will mention that adrenals should be ok to take this med... (or something like that)...... Send him the pil along with the test results.... I think the whole purpose of stopping thyroid meds before NAX is so that the levels run down a bit and then if the adrenals are fully rejuvenated you won't go hyper..... wouldn't imagine this will happen in your case .... The other reason cited, is to give the adrenals a rest, but I've never understood this rationale... x > > I am thinking of emailing my endo my saliva results re the dreadful state of my adrenals and request a meeting with him.
