Guest guest
I have just had a call from Goldshield and have been given a contact number, and I have mentioned TPA to them and information that I came across this morning about taking thyroxine at night rather than in the morning. I have also mentioned that lactose can be a particular problem to quite a few patients, plus the fact that this is put in quite a lot of pills. I also bought up about calcium carbonate being a problem taken within 4 hours of taking thyroxine, but in turn mentioned that in some areas like mine the water is high in calcium carbonate and that they in turn add this to a lot of food, so in turn it can also cause problems to thyroxine. I also mentioned about information gathered through canines that generic versions are not so easily absorbed. He was very interested in my views and is interested in anything further through the TPA. I think it sounds like they may alter the ingredients in thyroxine possibly the lactose. I also mentioned that my hair does not fall out like it was when taking thyroxine. I also said that some patients require some T3 as well, but we are not being tested for this, in regard to this I did mention my idea of the use of a cream to administer T3 so that it does not go through ones gut causing an upset stomach. Let me know if I can suggest any more to Goldshield Kathleen
