Guest guest
oops just noticed a typo in my post TSH 0.17 - T4 12.7 (not 11.7) & T3 4.1. > > Hi, am in the process of getting my Free T3/T4 tested but wonder if any of these numbers can be useful to me now. My last blood test was > TSH 0.17 - T4 11.7 and T3 4.1. My doctor lowered my synthroid to .1 from 0.112 and since then my weight has gone up and my hair is starting to fall out again at the front. >
Guest guest
Hi, It really helps to include the range when offering lab results for comment. However yout TSH is low,but that id not at all important once you are on treatment- it's FT4 and FT3 that matter. FT4 is near the bottom of the range assuming 9-22 as range and FT3 range usually around 3.5 -7.0 so that's not too good either. This is the probelm that occurs when doc looks at TSH only and does not look where the others are! As you have dicsovered reducing your dose makes things worse. He should have been considering a dose increase instead- especially if you are complaining of hypo symptoms. I suggest that you go back ans ask for a reinstatement of your original dose at the very least. > thyroid treatment > From: slantaya@...> Date: Tue, 10 May 2011 14:30:50 +0000> Subject: Re: Lab Results - HELP!> > oops just noticed a typo in my post TSH 0.17 - T4 12.7 (not 11.7) & T3 4.1.> > > > >> > Hi, am in the process of getting my Free T3/T4 tested but wonder if any of these numbers can be useful to me now.
