Guest guest
Hi A I have heard one or two others complaining that they are having problems in getting their Nature Throid but I don't know the details as to why. I would ask your GP to change your prescription to the licensed Canadian Erfa 'Thyroid' as I have not heard of anybody having trouble in getting that one - I get this myself on NHS prescription. What I would do though in the future is to buy yourself a tub of natural thyroid extract so you always have something to fall back on should there become a problem with natural thyroid extract (whatever the brand) in the future. Always better to be safe than sorry. Go to our Files section (accessible from the Home Page Menu of this forum web site). On the page that opens, scroll down to the folder entitled 'Internet Pharmacy' and you can see all the pharmacies where you can buy NDT without prescription. www.valuepharmaceuticals.com sells the Erfa 'Thyroid' - though they advertise they sell 'generic Armour Thyroid' - just tick the box 'no prescription required'. Hope that helps. Luv - Sheila Lucky me, I eventually got NDT prescribed by my GP! It is now two weeks since I took my RX to my usual pharmacy. They originally said it would take around ten days to dispense. I rang them today as I hadn't heard from them, and was informed that there was trouble with the supply of Nature-throid, the manufacturer being the problem. Has anyone else had any problems? I've asked them in the meantime to see if they would be able to supply Erfa or Armour, if I can get my GP to change the RX, which they said they will do, though it possibly may be Monday before they get back to me. This is ridiculous - if another member had not been kind enough to help me out with this, I would be nearly a month without a supply of thyroid medication! So basically my question is - is there a problem with the supply of NDT, paricularly Nature-throid that anyone knows of? Or does anyone have any advice to offer before I run out again? .._,___
Guest guest
I am getting it from inhousepharmacy with no problems yet. I feel so much better on this than on any of the others and would hate to have to go back to either armour or erfa. It really is which one suits each person. Val I have heard one or two others complaining that they are having problems ingetting their Nature Throid but I don't know the details as to why.
