Guest guest
Ask your GP to test your levels of ferritin, folate, magnesium, copper and zinc to see if any of these levels are low in the reference range and post the results here. Increase your dose of Nutri Adrenal Extra by another tablet and are you taking HIGH doses of vitamin C e.g. 4000mgs daily. Once you start taking the T3 on it's own, you should start to feel much better - it is obviously the T3 your body is missing right now, as it has a very short half life. Why can't your body tolerate magnesium. What happens when you take it a and why, and how much did you take in the past. What kind of magnesium was it that you were unable to tolerate? Luv - Sheila I met with the lovely Dr P last week and he has suggested that I have T4 Toxicosis and therefore there is a build up of T4 in my body which is not being used (not good as I have had my thyroid removed!). He has suggested that I cease taking my 4 x grains Erfa per day for 7-10 days and then slowly introduce Cytomel - T3 - with a starting does of 12.5mg Has anyone else in the Group taken this approach and can they offer any advice. I have only stopped Erfa for 4 days and am feeling awful but determined to continue. I am taking additional vits/minerals, i.e. Nutri Adrenal Extra, Vit C, Co-enzyme Q10, D3, B12 and was trying Magnesium but my body cannot tolerate it. ,_._,___
Guest guest
Hi a, I changed from Efra to T3 six months ago. I don't know if I had RT3 or T4 Toxicosis but I have been much better on T3 only. I found a lot of information on Nick's website. http://thyroid-rt3.com/ You really do have to take it slow on T3 only and I would take Dr Peatfield's advice on this. You could contact Dr P to explain how you are feeling without the Erfa and if he thinks you could start adding the T3 yet. I just stopped the Erfa one day and took 6.25 of T3 the next and then followed the advice on increasing. Also I would keep a note in your diary of what you take, how you are feeling, your pulse and temp. Hope that helps.
