Guest guest
TPA is looking for Self Employed Fundraisers to help us fund our projects. You can work at this from home. Luv - Sheila SELF EMPLOYED FUNDRAISERS About Thyroid Patient advocacy (TPA) Thyroid Patient Advocacy (TPA) is an independent user-led organisation established to ensure that all thyroid disease sufferers are given a correct diagnosis, receive effective treatment and are given extensive support and guidance. TPA is managed by a group of dedicated thyroid patients who volunteer their services freely. The web site is www.tpa-uk.org.uk. Now that TPA is a Registered Charity, it is looking for Self Employed Fundraisers as the Trustees now want to significantly increase income to enable them to undertake more research, campaigning and support work during the coming years. The TPA Trustees are therefore looking for a number of experienced fundraisers to work on a freelance basis from home. Because of the wide geographical spread of members, most of the charity's work is done on line or by telephone. Whilst the charity has only recently registered with the Charity Commission, TPA is well established and has been operating for a number of years. The Job This challenging role requires a confident self starter with good people skills. The successful applicants will be responsible for researching grant making trusts and other sources of income and writing bids on behalf of TPA. We anticipate that grant applications of around £20,000 are likely to be the most successful, but you can apply for as much or as little funding as you wish. Taking on staff is a new venture for TPA and to keep it simple we are offering work on a self employed basis only. You will be paid a commission of 10% for each successful bid. Payments will be made within 14 days of any grant being received. You will be responsible for paying your own tax and NI contributions as a registered self employed person. TPA will do its best to support you and make this worth your while. How to Apply Please send a copy of your CV with a covering letter outlining your fundraising experience, including the amount of grants you personally have been able to secure to date (if you have been working in this field before). Please also send the contact details of two referees who can confirm your fundraising ability. Referees will not be contacted until after an interview and if TPA is considering making an offer. Short-listed applicants will be invited to either a face to face or telephone interview depending on their location. Please send your application to sheila@... as soon as possible. Guest guest
One solution would be to move where your new work is Stephie, but that would be a nightmare and your hubby I should imagine wouldn't be pleased with that. Have you yet decided what you need to do? Any possibility somebody else would be prepared to 'swap' work places with you? Luv - Sheila Not that I wanted to work from home but when I mentioned it it was not a goer. My travel would be on the M62 but my wrist was playing up again to-night just on the 58 mile journey, it does not bear thinking about 83 miles. Thanks for the message.
