Guest guest
Hi Susie: With the salt loading protocol from the IODINE group, listed that people can take up to 1 TABLESPOON a day. With the iodine protocol we are taking celtic sea salt for possible bromide detox problems. The salt attaches to the bromide (toxic halide) an carries it out through the urine. I personally, take 1/2 teaspoon a day. I don't believe the salt is going to bring your BP up because it's known more for bringing it down and regulating it. It sounds like your metabolism needs a boost and that should be done by adrenal support and or thyroid support. Have you done the Aldosterone test with the flashlight and your eyes? So, to answer your question about the celtic sea salt, up to one Tablespoon a day. What are you taking as far as support? When I was overdosed on Thyroid meds several years ago, my blood pressure went very low. Under 90/60 as you say.... overdose can do that but most people don't figure it out because they don't have their own BP monitor....Just an FYI... I feel that BP should be about 105/70 to 110/70 for feeling good and maintaining health. Anything below 100/60 should be questioned unless you're an athlete. Medical advisors don't really get this. Guest guest
Hi Jot Thanks ever so much for your reply and all the helpful info. I did try to reply before, but for some reason my reply went missing. I failed the flashlight test, which was one of the reasons i thought it might be low aldosterone. I'm taking various vitamin and mineral supplements in accordance with my various deficiencies and 2g vit c. I've also just got some co Q10. I'm thinking of getting liquorice, though I'm not sure what the best type to get will be. I don't want to re-start the NAX's yet as my endo has just put me on evotrox and I want to give that a go for a few weeks first. No doubt I'll be popping back for some more adrenal advice! Guest guest
Hi Susie: Excellent on the Q10....that's good stuff ! If you can start to raise your Vitamin C slowly up to about 4000/5000 a day to bowel tolerance...that can't hurt... Sheila will be able to help you with the liquorice purchase....some are better than others. Cheers, JOT > I failed the flashlight test, which was one of the reasons i thought it might be low aldosterone. > > I'm taking various vitamin and mineral supplements in accordance with my various deficiencies and 2g vit c. Guest guest
Hi Jot My Q10's are 30mg, once a day. Is that enough? My bowels would never be able to cope with that much vit c! Does building it up v slowly help with bowel tolerance? Thanks Susie > > Hi Susie: > > Excellent on the Q10....that's good stuff ! Guest guest
thanks Shiela. that tincture has grain alcohol in it. Do you happen to know if it's ok for coeliacs? I feel like I've gone 'toxic' again now that I've been on the evotrox about 10 days. I suppose I really need to come off it and get onto the NAX's. I last had an adrenal saliva test done about a year ago. Do I need to do another, or can I get on with the adrenal support on the basis that my adrenals can't have got any better in that time? Thanks! Susie > > Go to our FILES section Susie, scroll down those listed until you get to > Discounts on Tests and Supplements' and when you open that document, click > on Nutri Ltd. Guest guest
Hi Susie: In Suzy's book, she suggests 30-50 mgs once or twice a day for general health ....Q10 . She also says 100-200 mgs once or twice a day for cancer or heart disease. She also likes the gel caps instead of the dry capsules. If you can buy her book, you will love it. I refer to it on a daily basis. It's a great reference to have all the supplement info (latest info) in one book. http://www.amazon.co.uk/Drug-Muggers-Suzy-Cohen/dp/1605294160 It is also on kindle: ( Lord knows we have people who have a hissy fit when they can't get a book on kindle :0) http://www.amazon.com/Drug-Muggers-ebook/dp/B004MYG4E6/ref=tmm_kin_title_0?ie=UT\ F8 & m=AG56TWVU5XWC2 & qid=1306256362 & sr=8-1 It helps with the vitamin C to stretch it out over the day when you are raising the dosage. At the moment I take 4000 mgs .....2000 in the morning and 2000 just before bed with my iron. It does take a while to acclimate to the body, usually several months. Just take it slow. Guest guest
As far as I am aware it is OK, but please get professional advice about this. I would telephone Nutri ltd and ask them. 's phone number is in the Files Section under the Folder 'Discounts on Tests and Supplements' - open the Nutri ltd document to find the details. Will you let us know the answer please Susie? Guest guest
Susie, 30mgs CoQ10 is piddling. You need at least 100mgs. My husband takes 300mcgs. This should not affect your bowel movements. Vitamin C on the other hand needs to be built up slowly TO bowel tolerance. Luv - Sheila My Q10's are 30mg, once a day. Is that enough? My bowels would never be able to cope with that much vit c! Guest guest
Hi Sheila Thanks for all your helpful input. I spoke to at Nutri to ask about the liqourice and also if the NAX's are ok to take with yeast intolerance and he said he can't advise TPA members on issues like that - it either has to be you or Dr P. On the Q10, how do I know how much is enough? One last question - do you think I need to do a new saliva test before I start on NAs, or can I just get on with it? Thx Susie
Guest guest
Hmmm! considering they are the manufacturers of these supplements, they should advise if there are any contraindications. Bit of a cop-out. I still am unable to help you with this unfortunately so I will write to and ask him. You don't need a new Saliva test before starting Nutri Adrenal Extra, but when you start, it is a good idea to stop any thyroid hormone replacement for 7 days and then add it back in again on the 8th day. JOT or will advise re Q10. Luv - Sheila Thanks for all your helpful input. Guest guest
In Suzy's book she writes: It's hard to overdo CoQ10 as it is extraordinarily safe. Sensitive people may experience stomach upset, headache, insomnia, dizziness, or light-headedness at higher doses. I use 120 mgs a day but no more because I am one who is prone to dizziness if I go any higher. Cheers, JOT > On the Q10, how do I know how much is enough? Guest guest
Yes that's what I thought too! I appreciate they want to steer clear of giving us any sort of advice on the suitability of supplements for our medical situations, but ingredients is a bit different. Thanks very much for writing to . I've also called Your Nutrition Shop. The lady there was very helpful and is going to double check for me so I'll let you know what she says and we can compare anwsers! She seemed to think it would say on the bottle if they contained gluten, dairy or yeast. Guest guest
I have just heard back from after sending him the following message: Dear , One of my members has asked a question about the liquorice tincture and whether this, together with NAE are OK to take with a yeast intolerance. I don't know the answer to this and wondered if you could help. Also, when you were away, I wrote to ask if it is possible that Nutri Ltd will also give discounts on the following: CAPRYLATE, SELENIUM, INTRINSIC B12 , FOLATE and VITAMIN D 3 (if Nutri Ltd) has these So many of our members have become so ill they have had to leave paid employment and are living on State Benefits and finding self treatment so hard fund. Sheila 's reply; The discount query is with my Accounts manager at the moment. She is not back here till next week now.I believe you may have already spoken to her? I have spoken to our advisors about the Yeast intolerance. Those products should not cause a problem. However put the tincture in hot water to evaporate the alcohol from the tinctures.
