Guest guest
Hi Glynis, Peary, and everyone I saw doc last week and he agreed to let me have the hypoalergenic T4. Small boots pharmacy ordered it Fiday and it arrived Tuesday. I am in shock, Brill I expected a struggle. I have only had two doses so far but NO SWELLING!! Thanks so much Sheila for thinking it could be the lactose intolerance. Guest guest
Hi Stephie, Thats great news.I really hope you can tolerate it and that all your symptoms will soon start to go. Can I ask what you did to manage to obtain the dales thyroxine ? I have an appointment with my private doc next week and I want to get him to prescribe. Is it my job to phone around chemists to ask if they'll order it in? Guest guest
Hi Peary Just read your question re where to get the dales hypoalergenic thyroxine, thanks to Sheila's excellent advice in the files I found that dales only supply to Tesco Pharmacy and Lloyds Pharmacy. I got my Daughter's from Lloyds Pharmacy. Both of these will order in for you but dales only supply 100 tablets at a time. I printed off the info on the files which shows you what the wording should be on the presciption and gave it to my GP and he willingly wrote it up. I can't for the life of me remember what file it was in but I am sure Sheila would tell you. Good luck with this but you don't have to ring around to get it. Guest guest
It's in a loose document down at the bottom of all the files and not in one of the Folders. However, I have now added this to the Folder on 'Hypothyroidism' so it is easier to find. Luv - Sheila
Guest guest
Hi Stephie, Congratulations!! I hope you do well on it. I did but I found that constantly going for prescriptions and to the chemist was driving me mad!! Guest guest
Hi Glynis, what happened with you and your NHS prescriptions for natural desiccated thyroid extract. Did your endocrinologist ever give in and give them back to you? Luv - Sheila Hi Stephie, Congratulations!! I hope you do well on it. Guest guest
Hi Peary I went into my small Boots Chemist ( market town) armed with the information sheet and the NHS prescription and the Pharmacist said she would try and order it, could take two weeks but as you know it arrived in days. I think Lloyds and Tesco will get it as well. Good Luck Stephie > > > > > Can I ask what you did to manage to obtain the dales thyroxine ? Guest guest
Hi Glynis I only have one pot which has 56, 25mcg tablets, so it might prove an issue. Our pharmacy will re order my normal prescription so hoping we could do the same? Will have to see. It seems my heart is not racing hardly at all now which is great for me.
