Guest guest
Thanks , I have sent off details of gluten free ideas to now and will leave it to her. Luv - Sheila Hi Sheila, Why don't the pub forget making samdwiches and just put out plates of fillings - slices of ham, slices of tomato, slices of cheese, a bowl of chutney and then leave bread for those who want to make their own samdwiches and something for those of us who don't eat gluten.... Rice cakes would be fine, I often eat cheese or ham on rice cakes... This way we get the original menu but gluten free people can eat most of it too. Gluten free pasta is availiable cheaply in Asda and tastes ok, so the spicy pasta salad would still work for everyone. That only leaves the wedges and the garlic bread which are unsuitable for gluten free and the pub don't have to change the menu too much. Does Strawberry souffle contain flour? Why not just have fresh fruit salad, or strawberries and cream? or better still Jelly (I love jelly)... x > > From: Sheila <sheila@...> > Subject: Gluten Free Buffet for Yorkshire Conference > thyroid treatment > Date: Thursday, 2 June, 2011, 18:59 > . As a reminder the 'normal' buffet is as follows: > > * Nachos > * Freshly cut sandwiches > * Mature cheddar and red onion chutney > * Egg mayonnaise and rocket > * Ham and tomato > * Huommos with paprika oil served with vegetable crudités > * Spicy pasta salad > * Tossed mixed salad > * Garlic bread > * Soy bubble battered chicken wedges > * Crispy potato wedges topped with cheese and bacon > * and then - Strawberry Souffle with fresh Cream > > Luv - Sheila >
