Medication clearing from the system

If it takes 6 weeks for T4-containing medication to clear from the system, but

only a few days for T3-containing medication, does that mean you could take T3

up until a few days before a blood test and whilst waiting for the T4 to clear?

I vaguely remember Lilian saying something about how she found T3 took much

longer to clear than it is reputed to.
