Hospital / GP Records Request - Experiences

Hi

I've just emailed my Endocrinologist to see how I go about getting a copy of the

medical records he has on me.

Long story short - I saw him privately and the hospital (BMI Healthcare) cannot

give me a straight answer, saying some Drs store the files out of the hospital.

Something doesnt seem right here !

Anyone had any experiences of getting their Hospital records ?

PS - Reason I need them, is that they cover a years worth of treatment that my

GP has no knowledge of and I want a second opinion, so need all the information

I can get to get a clear background history.
