Tendonitis - any sufferers?

I remember seeing it on the TPA symptoms list and I put it in my letter when I

asked for a referral, but I'm just wondering if anyone else suffers/ed with this

and if it improved with treatment?

A few months back - just when everything was really starting to get worse (after

years of low-level symptoms) - i 'injured' my shoulder. Dr diagnosed tendonitis

but I never actually did anything in particular to damage it - it just started,

and it took the best part of two months to sort itself out.

Day before yesterday it started again - bit higher up this time (previously most

of the pain was in my deltoid, now it's mainly sharp and constant from my

shoulder blade up the side of my neck but I can feel some pain in the deltoid

again too).

But again, no cause for it - it started literally in the middle of the night.

I'm assuming it's due to my thyroid issues, same as what remains of the plantar

fasciitis and the rest of the foot pains, I am just worried in case it doesn't

get better when I eventually get on track treatment-wise...

Oh on that note - what a flippin palaver! My GP took a week to send the letter

out. Two weeks after that I'd heard nothing so rang the hospital - no letter.

They rang my GP that day and got it faxed across. A week later I chase it up

again - oh sorry, that doctor doesn't do endo any more. So I asked about

another doc, same dept, on Sheila's list - yes, but no appts till end of July.

They recommended another 'very good' endo, I said yes - we'll call you with a

date. Nothing for a week.

Chased them up again today, it's been put on his waiting list, so after 4 weeks

already spent chasing it up with no attempts by them to call me, I'm now back at

the start of another waiting list and have at least 4/5 weeks more to wait.

I am going to ring them tomorrow and ask to be put on the second doc's list - if

I have to start a waiting list again, I may as well go on his for end of July.

It's only a couple more weeks, and I know he's been recommended from here.
