Since every body is unique, there is no way of knowing unless you try it (and yes, that would mean thyroxine and cytomel)..... however - chances are that a body will utilize natural hormones better than synthetic ones. No synthetic hormone, however close or even 'identical' the chemical formulation is to the natural hormone will be equal to natural ones, and on that basis - not to mention the experience of most people who take natural thyroid - my vote goes to using natural thyroid

Best wishes,

You might. Everyone is different. While I do agree that natural is better,

unfortunately the ratio of T4/T3 in natural thyroid is not right for everyone.

Some people need more T4 or more T3 and that only way to get that is to add in

your own amounts via synthetic hormone. I was on Armour and it had too much T3

in it because my body convert T4 very well...so I have a little Armour and some

T4.

Hi Montgomery, You may be, but, Erfa does contain the small fragments for thyroid hormone such as T2 ,T1 and Calcitonin, some of which are very active, and who knows if the artificial hormones are as well absorbed by some of us. I tried T4/T3 but felt very peculiar on a carefully calculated same dose- a filthy mix of hyper and hypo symptoms which cleared within a few days of going back on Armour- and yes, I did fiddle with the mix to see if I could get it to work. You may be different- as far as thyroid meds go there is a wide variety of needs and reactions. > thyroid treatment > From: montgomery106261@...> Date: Thu, 27 Jan 2011 11:20:36 +0000> Subject: ERFA v.
