Hi there,

I'm new to this site. I was diagnosed with Hashimotos in 2009. I had no thyroid

hormone to speak of and my TSH was 192. I am now on 200mcg of levothyroxine. It

seems to work but I have had all the symptoms of weight gain, dry skin and hair

falling out, however my energy levels are okay so far. These improved

drastically when I cut out gluten.

I found out I am pregnant (six weeks coming up on Tuesday) and I have already

felt the need to up my dose to 225. I feel relatively okay but my fair is

falling out in bunches and I feel quite tired all the time, I'm also feeling the

cold more. I am too scared to increase my dose again as these may be symptoms of

pregnancy?

I just wanted to ask if there are any other pregnant women out there, or if you

had a pregnancy when you were hypothyroid, when did you have to increase your

dose? I would like to try NDT but not now when I am pregnant because I don't

want my hormones levels to fluctuate. Also I have the most arrogant and ignorant

gps on the planet and he has consistently refused to refer me to an endo so I

don't really know how I'm going to afford an endo privately.

Please help.
