Hello, interesting post. My Mother,my sisters, my neice and myself and disc

problems in the neck area. Some weeks I have headaches non stop, can't have mt

hair washed at the hairdressers or sit for long periods of time. We all have

auto-immune issues, pernicious anemia, viltiligo and hpothyroidism, so it

certainly fits our family. Jan

Hi Louise,

Personally I don't believe that any of the athritis type conditions including osteoporosis are anything but a hormone deficiency - possibly cortisol or oestrogen etc.

Unfortunately taking a cortisol based medication can cause other issues - I was in agony with back pain etc. could hardly move almost wheelchair bound (I think Sheila and I share the same symptoms when we were first ill) and now on thyroid meds and other hormones I have no issues at all. So try to get your hormones tested.

best wishes

Mandy

Hello

Thanks for the replies. I too think this is an interesting area and I am on

thyroid meds (T3 only) and HC + so many other supplements I rattle. I have no

idea when the damage to my discs was done, but diagnosis was after many years of

treatment. It has just been worse this winter so I would like to do anything to

avoid progression. I managed to dislocate my knee because most mornings I

cannot bend enough to get dressed so was squatting to feed the cats etc and thus

my kneecap dislocated - just greeeaatt!!! Anyway, anyone else out there

diagnosed with this condition?

Thanks, Louise

Consider high dose Vitamin D3. I get mine from iherb - if it's your first

order, use referral code UCI014 to get $5 off first purchase. I get the Now

Foods 5,000iu softgels and take 2 daily for winter, may go down to i if we get

sun this summer.

Vitamin D Council Website and Grassroots Health site for more info.
