Guest guest
HI ALL, My GP has now put me back on Prednislone, with the idea of slowly reducing it down to 5mg and then to keep me on it for some time. He is still saying that the painful muscles etc are due to POLYMYALGIA, so I ask him how I have managed to get it and the cause, and all I get is that it is caused by autoimmunity. My THYROID FUNCTION TESTS are as follows--- Free T4 Range 9.0-26.0 pmo1/1 12.6 TSH Range 0.3-4.2 mU/1 *9.03 It is clear to me that TSH is not normal having a star, but he only mentioned the FREE T4 result saying that it was in the normal range, so he is not doing anything, so still no medication. I think the urgent referral for the rheumatolist is a red herring, and the muscular clinic have discharged me saying that they cannot do anymore for until some of my ailments have been sorted out, and they too have sent a request to the rheumatologist. My CRP has gone up to over 200, but he is saying that it is unreliable and not much use as a test. He is going to do another thyroid test just before I see DR PEATFIELD on the 22nd March. I also have a follow up appointment on the 14th at Chelsea and Westminster, but I do not feel it a good idea to have any surgery if put to me, until my Thyroid is in good shape (would anyone). I have just bought two books on Thyroid problems, one being DR PEATFIELDS which is quite easy reading, so do you think that once I have read through it that it could educate my GP if I offered it to him to read. My GP and even The Lung Foundation do not think that I have Brochiesctasis in my lower left lung, which in fact looks like another wrong presumption by a former GP that went to Charing Cross in 1973 when referred there. There has even been doubt as to whether Charing Cross diagnosed the Duplex Kidney correctly. All I can say to this is that,NO WONDER PATIENTS CAN GET CONFUSED, and one does have to wonder if they are worth their wages, so can any of you have any idea as to what my present GP is up to MORE CONFUSION TO ADD TO IT OR WHAT. I do however think there is some problem in the bottom of my left lung, or something else in that area is causing a problem in turn to the lung.
