Hi Alison

when are you having the test? or planning on doing it, i suppose is the correct

question

do you think the erfa may not be agreeing with you? correct me if im wrong but

weren't you offered t4 initially? did that help at all?

i see you've posted this question a couple of times now, i'm sorry no one has

got back to you. i don't really know the ansewr to your question, as i'm not

familiar with NAX (didn't agree with me)

i hope someone more knowledgable on this subject will reply to you soon. mind

you, i've just done a search on the archives for you and Sheila said be off NAX

two weeks before saliva test:

thyroid treatment/message/73800

" You need to stop your NAX for a couple of weeks before you do the 24 hour

saliva adrenal profile or you will get flawed results. "

maybe that is your answer? did you do an adrenal test before starting NAX?

Hi Alison:

I would start on 400 mgs of magnesium as soon as possible and it will help a

great deal if you are taking 1/2 teaspoon of celtic sea salt at least 3 times a

day. First thing in the morning when you wake up, every day, once around

11 am and then again at 2 pm. Adrenals must have salt to work properly and it

will give you a boost. You'll be able to feel it almost immediately.

Hi chris yes i was offered T4 but wanted to try natural meds due to several

family members on it and still having symptoms, i had this pain long before

starting my meds last year a mild angina type pain, i am going to ask for an

iron test when i see my doctor because i do get out of breath.

Cheers

Hi Alison,

With regard to the chest pain - I had that quite a bit when I was first given

T4. With hindsight - I think it was caused mainly by low Ferritin, although the

adrenals had some part in it. My Ferritin level was 40 and wasn't flagged by

the NHS lab (what do they know!) and yet my level should have been at least 90

to enable the thyroid hormones to do their job. Might be an idea to get it

checked.

Hope you soon feel better.

Luv,

Anne xx

Thanks all for the replies, can i buy celtic sea salt from health shops? Does it

have to be refined or a particular one so i can take it sooner, i have got some

magnesium and going to try that. Ive been a bit poorly today around 3-6pm felt

really tired and slow and my neck (thyroid area) is sore to touch, swallow and

when i move around, i am hoping it may be just a viral as my family have had

colds and coughs recently. Still getting mild pain in heart region twice today

when i am sitting

love Ali

Really appreciate everyone's help.X
