Hi,I hope someone will have some advice for me.I have secondary hypothyroidism

and after 2 years of being fat and feeling rubbish on 150 thyroxine,I convinced

my endo to trial T3.

Then had 6 months on liothyronine, started feeling better.I dieted and lost

weight,my body hair grew normally again, periods became regular and the terrible

long term constipation improved almost completely.

Last month,I had a cortisol day curve test and when i got there after taking my

t3 they sprung a thyroid function test which they now say shows I'm way over

medicated.(haven't managed to get figures yet)They had tried to get me to swap

back to t4 before but now I have just recieved a letter saying I've got to go

back on 150 t4.

I wrote saying if it does the same jobI'll be over on that too so can't I just

reduce t3 and then test again without taking tablet 2 hours before but not heard

back.

My gp's really kicked up a fuss about giving me t3 and I found out it's because

it costs about £23 per month so don't think I'll get any help there.

Has anyone got any ideas?

thanks,Delainne.
