Guest guest
My latest irons labs all came back high with saturation at 74% and ferritin at 70. (guess i over did the supplmentation, i have not touched iron in 3 months now) So im thinking of giving blood next week. Your ferritin at 70 (for a man) is not considered high, in fact, this is on the low side. The reference range for ferritin for males is in the region of 30 to 300 and it is recommended your ferritin level be around 150 to 180. My sodium/potassium was 147, and 5.3 this was on 0.1mg of florinef, ive since increaased to 0.2mg. What are the reference ranges for these Steve? Now alot of my symptoms have cleared up, but the TWO which remain and the first two which developed first. Frequnt urination which gets worse as the day goes on and yeast problems causing sluggish digestion. When i was increasing T3 at first each increase i could notice my digestion become less sluggish. Do i just keep increasing my T3 in the hope that after one increase it kick starts my body off ? And clears the yeast, and sorts out my freuent urination problem or is there something else i should be doing/testing for ? Have you been tested to see whether you are suffering with candida antibodies. Also, can you pop into a chemist and get your blood sugar level tested as frequent urination (do you have thirst as well?) could be an indication of diabetes. My latest ferritin is around 2 months old, i should get my latest ferritin lab result any time this week (had the blood drawn on Monday) Here are my iron labs as of 1 week ago Serum Iron = 43 (11-28) Saturation = 74.8% (23-53) Transferrin = 2.3 (2-3.6) > My sodium/potassium was 147, and 5.3 this was on 0.1mg of florinef, ive > since increaased to 0.2mg. > > What are the reference ranges for these Steve? Potassium (3.5-5.1) Sodium (133-145) So as you can see i was over range for the both of them, that was on 0.1mg of florinef, and then Dr P and adrenals group said i should raise to 0.2mg of florinef and leave for 1 month. > > Have you been tested to see whether you are suffering with candida > antibodies. Also, can you pop into a chemist and get your blood sugar level > tested as frequent urination (do you have thirst as well?) could be an > indication of diabetes. > I got tested through genova positive for candida anti bodies, i took nystatin for 1 month, while i could feel it doing something i havent felt any " benefit " . I do suffer from thirst aswell as frequent urination, i have been tested for diabetes a few times at the doctors, and i also bought a BG monitor for at home and posted the results online (to val in the adrenal group) who said it seemed fine as i posted about 5 readings throughout the day before/after meals ect... I just hope that there isnt something else going on which ive not looked into or had checked and things sort them selves out once on the optimal thyroid dose? Thanks Steve
