Guest guest
I've read with interest, and dread, about the efects of flouride. How do we stop its push as a great saver of teeth? My daughter, who has a learning disability and has positive thyroid antibodies, goes to a community dentist. They are fab with her,(she wouldn't even open her mouth for the regular dentist). They are very keen to coat her teeth with flouride at almost every visit (she goes 4 times a year). Along with all the other struggles I've had with the medical professions over the years. How do I not involve the coatings on her teeth? I am genuinly concerned that I am going to be seen as an insane Mother who complains about every thing, from genetic testing to endos ( ) and that they will take legal action to continue with treatment. Or no, in the case of the snotty endo who insists at her ferritin being 33 is ok and she doesn't need iron. I'm running out of fight. Guest guest
This is a question you will be able to ask of Dr at our Conference Jan. Guest guest
Forgot to mention, that with special needs children, they often think that the parents have special needs too (it can be the case) so we are not listened to with respect I feel, so add that to the usual experiences with endos ect, and its pretty waring. Also as I've mentioned before, I'm not clear on the lagalities of giving consent for procedures to someone over 16 with a learning disability ( she will be soon ). Thanks again jan x
Guest guest
Thanks, Sheila. I just wanted a proper link so that I could send it to my brother instead of having to copy and paste it all into an email.
