Guest guest
Hi, I am 47yrs, I have ABPA (lung fungas), anyway...I have had this choking feeling for the past 12 months when i put my arms above my head, my dr sent me for a scan they found nodules and the thyroid enlarged, i have had biopsys done twice six months apart and thank god not cancerious, I finally put my foot down and told my dr i wanted to be refered to a endriconologist to find out what the problem is and what can be done as he said my tests always come back normal...maybe a little under...but nothing to worry about, well i have seen a endriconlogist and he has said it has to be removed all as it is going down my throat and is down to my first rib so he has now referred me to a surgeon.....it has doubled in size on the left side and the right side is just growing at a steady rate....what i am asking, does anyone know of a alternative before surgery to try to help shrink it and avoid surgery as they want to remove both left and right thyroid....i have heard of Radioactive oidine but not sure if this is the solution....i am going to see the specialist again next week so any suggestions or help would be appreciated or comments on what to avoid..... Cheers to all for you help Australia
