Hi All,

I have finally got my test results back for Vitamin D & B12 and I wondered if

people think they are ok?

My GP says they are " normal " but I have learn't now to take " normal " with a

pinch of salt.

B12: 224ng/L (180-900)

Total 25 hydroxy Vitamin D3 64.6 nmol/L

25 hydroxy Vitamin D2 <6 nmol/L

25 hydroxy Vitamin D3 64.6

Lab results say:

<25 nmol/L Severe Vitamin D deficiency. Vitamin D replacement required.

25-50 nmol/L Vitamin D deficiencySupplementation is indicated.

50-75 nmol/L Vitamin D may be sub-optimal, and long term there may be clinical

effects. Advise on safe sun exposure and supplementation may be indicated.

>75 nmol/L Adequate Vitamin D.

I can see my vitamin B12 is quite low in the range, but do you thing my Vitamin

D is ok? I have ordered supplements for both from iherb, but just wanted to

makes sure i should be taking them and at what level?

My GP told me that it is very rare for people to be low in B12. I said I had

heard quite a lot of people were low and I would rather take some supplements

that risk permenant damage by being low!!

Thanks for any help & advice,

x
