Guest guest
Well I've got my gp to up levo to 75mg and in 5 weeks TSH has come down to 0.91 (0.35-4.94) T4 and T3 weren't tested. I was starting to feel like the old me. But after recent blood test I'm now worried about these results Potassium 5.5 (3.5-5.3) Above range ALT/SGPT 90.0 iu/L (<=30.0) Above range Haemoglobin concentrate 15.1 g/dL (11.5-14.8) Above range All I've been told is, to go on a low potassium and low fat diet and have blood test again in a weeks time. Anyone got any ideas? Thankyou
Guest guest
Potassium is in good standing. Both potassium and magnesium need to be at the top of the range. Are you taking any iron supplements? Have you had your ferritin levels tested? (Stored iron) Do you supplement with magnesium? Can you tell up what supplements you are taking? I'm not sure why he would want you on a low potassium diet, are you taking celtic sea salt everyday? Cheers, JOT Potassium 5.5 (3.5-5.3) Above range > ALT/SGPT 90.0 iu/L (<=30.0) Above range > Haemoglobin concentrate 15.1 g/dL (11.5-14.8) Above range > > All I've been told is, to go on a low potassium and low fat diet and have blood test again in a weeks time. > Anyone got any ideas? > Thankyou >
Guest guest
Hi Jot I'm not taking ANY supplements at present. Had to have an ECG, it was ok, got to have an ultrasound next week and had more blood taken today. I don't know why I'm having these tests. > > Potassium is in good standing. Guest guest
Do you have any sympotms? you say you are back to old self? is that absolutely true? i.e. sodium and potassium should be inbalance you may have some low sodium prob because of the higher potassium, but to be fair this isnt absolutely hugely out of range. I would consider having a hair analysis £50 and it will give you details about your TISSUE levels and ratios with other minerals and a great deal of other detail about diet etc.......it would be worth the investment honestly. They obviously dont have a clue otherwise you would receive more information than that. Guest guest
Your doc obviously thinks you have some heart symptoms. I had several heart investigations all were negative (for breathlessness) I had respiratory tests too all negative....but guess what my breathlessness has gone since I'm on the right dose of thyroid hormone supplement. Let him do the tests, but remember they dont prove very much. sally xx Had to have an ECG, it was ok, got to have an ultrasound next week and had more blood taken today.
