Hiya Janita....

I'm not Butch, but we've been partners in Originum crime for many years...

Another term might be called today...snorting......<G>....

Direct from the bottle, or some on a tissue....and just inhale.....

As deep as you can....

In this case through the nose if you can at all...

Sinus cavaties can become plugged when you " blow your nose " because the

openings face backwards from the face, towards the back of the head. For

that reason, I'm going to suggest something weird: inhale the fumes from

the oregano oil through your mouth, and blow them out your nose. I just

tried my theory out with some tarragon oil, which happened to be nearest

at hand, and it worked well. Does this make sense?

Hi ListMom....

When I've direct inhaled it was into the lungs, of course, and done that

very thing, exhaling, not thinking about it....It makes good sense..

And I know I'm probably preaching to the choir here......

The Originums EOs are pretty potent, even for EOs...

Handle with care...you want the vapor here....

Watch out for some getting on your fingers, and then rubbing your eyes,

for example....(Voice of experience here)....

The usual caveats, care, as when dealing with any EO....They deserve

respect in handling...

I've always told my kids to " snort " eucalyptis oil when they have

stuffy sinus, if it smells like the eo, it's just allergies, if it

smells like rot - you got an infection.

Hope I'm posting this in the correct way.

Hiya to all.....hope you are all doing ok......can anyone advise on somthing

to help clear sinus......really only like to use natural products and at the

moment using Weleda nasal spray but willing to try anything because in so much

pain with head and foul mucus coming down nose.......have just finished course

of antibiotics for supposed chest infection which is no better,so i am thinking

could mucous from sinus be going on to chest so won,t clear until sinus problem

solved.

Thanks so much in advance for any advice.

Good thinking, Manda, and I am very sorry that you are suffering so badly. You could try inhaling the old fashioned way ....a few drops eucalyptus oil (or 1 caps of "Carvol") in a pot of nearly (but not) boiling water. Stick your head as close as you can to the steam with a towel over your head to keep the vapours in and breathe .... do this 2 or 3 times a day – it should help.

Other than that .... wild oregano oil caps might help to strengthen your immune system. Perhaps someone else has some further ideas?

But whatever else you do – please do take a course of a good probiotics now that the course of antibiotics is finished to build-up again a good balance of intestinal bacteria. This is most important ! The antibiotics will have killed off all the good bacteria in your gut and if you do not replenish them, then the bad bacteria will get the upper hand..... this is how Candida starts....

Best wishes,
