Guest guest
Hannah, How long have you been on T3 only? They reckon it takes a few months to clear the t3 receptors of all that reverse t3, and when they do clear you suddenly feel so much better...... Stick with it.... You still have some t4 which will need reverse t3 to clear it if it isn't being converted...... xx > > Hi wondering if anyone could give me a rough interpretation of these results. Going to get a 15 minute with Dr P soon but until then. >
Guest guest
I thought the general rule is that it takes about 12 weeks to clear Reverse T3. Guest guest
If those were my results I would think I was hypo....do you have hypo symptoms? Sally xx Hi wondering if anyone could give me a rough interpretation of these results. Going to get a 15 minute with Dr P soon but until then.I've just got these results back from Genova. I'm currently on 25mcg T3 and Isocort plus additional supplements. Feel very very bad as I am at the moment.Total T4: 40.8 (58 - 154)TSH: 4.56 (0.4 - 4.0)FT4: 6.90 (10 - 22)FT3: 3.92 (2.8 - 6.5)FT4:FT3 Ratio: 1.8 (2.0 - 4.5)My RT3 was about a ratio of 19 (about 6 months ago) hence being on T3 only. Many thanksHannah P

Guest guest
Hannah - ask your GP to check your levels of ferritin, vitamin B12, vitamin D3, magnesium, folate, copper and zinc. Do the three Medical Questionnaires in our FILES SECTION to see how you score. These are questions about your adrenals, systemic candidiasis and magnesium. You may need to supplement whatever it is that you are low in and start adrenal supplements such as Nutri Adrenal Extra. Guest guest
One mistake which i made while being on T3 only is that i held a low dose of T3 (25mcg) for too long. As if you hold a low dose of T3 it starts to supress your own thyroid and you arent taking enough T3 that your body needs so you actually end up with less hence feeling a bit worse. As soon as i started to increase my T3 past 25mcg i started to feel some really good benefits. Most people feel " best " with their FT3 at the top or slightly over the range when on T3 only treatment. If your temps are stable and your adrenals are supported enough i would increase your T3 asap. If your adrenals arent able to cope then look into this further before raising. Guest guest
You are not on enough T3 if you have been on it for 4 months. It took me about 16 weeks to clear my RT3 and that was because i had to raise ALOT slower at the start as i couldnt tolerate it. If you look at the RT3 website it shows how to increase so long as you can tolerate it, and you should clear around the 12 week mark. http://thyroid-rt3.com/dosing.htm Steve > > > > I thought the general rule is that it takes about 12 weeks to clear Reverse > > T3. > > > > Luv - Sheila > > > > > > > > Hannah, > > How long have you been on T3 only? >
