Guest guest
I have an appointment tomorrow with my GP. A double, actually, so I can have a proper chat with her. I want to go through these blood test results with her and all of my symptoms, properly. 10 minutes is not enough time for doing that. I am also hoping that my mum, who read the Mail, has seen the article in yesterday's MoS and will be starting to think. I have been trying to tell her for some time, but she has chosen to believe her GP who has just said, "there must be something else causing the symptoms, autoimmune disorders often cluster." I have told her that the fact she cannot lose weight, is still tired, still has dry skin (getting worse), etc, after 20 years of thyroxine, all point to undertreatment. Her GP has told her she is on the maximum dose of thyroxine - 150mcg a day! I have told her that this is rubbish for starters. So, 2 battles to fight. Hopefully one article to help us both. Thankyou, and I will be back tomorrow with my blood test results.
