Guest guest
Gloria, Neurontin sounds like a lovely drug to me. I'll bet the effects will be less exaggerated after you have taken it a few times. I wouldn't mind an excuse to ask my doctor for some, though. Ann

I don't have that dry cough with bextra like I did with mobic - vioxx - and celebrex. I ran out yesterday and took a mobic - was up at 2:00 a.m. trying to quite the cough. The pred. taper pack didn't do anything for me - ambien didn't either I was up all night tried it for 3 nights..... a slow to learn child here..... slept the whole weekend with desyrle (generic name) That's what I've been taking for several years, GP justed thought the ambien would work better - the zanaflex 4 mg does work good with the desyrle. Also I sinced from ultracet to taking ultram and a Tylenol. stronger dose for pain. I've seen a big difference by taking the bextra - it's also a cox-2 type drug. also - as a lot of you know menopause is hell. I've had some laser hair removal done and the cream they apply is emucaine - which is a numbing cream and I thought hey what about putting this stuff on my foot, it works better than pain patches! so now I've got my pod. Dr searching to create a solution or maybe even something better. I'll let everyone know what happens. Hugs, Jan

Guest guest
Hey dantelb: I started Sprycel in December 06. Yeah the headaches were bad but that side effect wore off quickly. I no longer have headaches with Sprycel. It seems like a drug with lesser side effects than Gleevec. The only problem I have concerns my stomach. I have been on Protonix for years and had to stop because it interferes with Sprycel effectiveness. Tums and Malox don't help me that much. It is nice not to have the severe cramping anymore that Gleevec caused. Let me know your experience. Hope it goes well. I did not have the headaches (except maybe a couple minor ones) but other people do have this as a side effect. You can connect up with a whole group of people who are taking Sprycel on www.newcmldrug.com then click on left hand column on Sprycel Talk ask the question there and you will get some responses about what people have done for the headaches. Sometimes they are caused by sinus congestion, if that is the case, you can rinse your sinuses with what is called a Neti Pot........find it at a health food store, it comes with directions. At first I felt worse on Srpycel than I did on 800mg of Gleevec.....but now I feel better than Gleevec. C.
Guest guest
Here's a wish and a hope that this one will do it. It is so frustrating trying to find the right combination of medications that will do the job. We finally have our daughter at her best--not a remissions--but the best she has been on her current drug cocktail. I hope you can find the same--and even better yet--that it kicks the arthritis into remission! e, mom to " joe " 23 poly+ From: Mathena@... <Mathena@...> Subject: New medicine Date: Thursday, April 22, 2010, 7:34 AM Â Hi all, Tomorrow Jordon will get tested for TB again, its been 18 mths since he was last tested.
