Can T3 lower body Temp?

Just wondering if people have any experience of body temps falling whilst taking

T3 I have been on T3/T4 for 3 weeks now and I don't think it's agreeing with me.

It's difficult to know if it's a tolerance thing or if it's sending me hyper.

Im confused. I have introduced the dose slowly and in divided doses but I feel

more tired and fatigued. I also notice that my temps have lowered. Low temps (

low throughout the day) have been a feature of my poor health for the past 6

months as well as a slow pulse. I notice that T3 has brought my pulse higher

from low 50's to 60+. I took my morning dose of T3 sublingually today and I

certainly felt a bad reaction - dizzy and low body temp of 35c and v tired with

slight nausea. I do think that perhaps my adrenals are not strong enough to cope

with the increased dose of medication my end has put me on. (I have posted

about this before) from 100mcgs T4 to 50 mcgs T4 and 40mcgs T3 that would be

total thyroid replacement T4 210mcgs.? Even when I was first diagnosed 15yrs ago

and my TSH was very elevated I was only put on 125mcgs T4. I have not been able

to get to 40mcgsT3, I have just managed 20mcgs daily. I am today in the process

of doing the saliva adrenal profile.

Last months Thyroid function results showed a mid range T4 with a low T3 just 5

points within range. My TSH is supressed.

If I am not doing well on combination therapy would that indicate that I may not

do well on natural thyroid - as T3 is included?

Sorry about the long post. Would really appreciate any input/advice

Han
