Guest guest
Thanks for all responses, I will now be going Monday morning for my thyroid tests and this time i will get reverse T3, antibodies, T4, T3 and free t4 and t3, last time the doctor told me he only looked at TSH. Now do i need to be off isocort or does it not matter?, i dont think its a fasting sample so i am thinking of taking my dose of isocort and the going and giving blood, would isocort affect thyroid blood tests to show a more accurate picture, what using up all T3 and all of that? I also have to get blood cortisol measured as per order of the GP who wanted me to measure it when i suggested i think i may have adrenal issues and i know isocort will affect this result but i dont care as it would not have come back low enough for him to agree with me anyway so whats the point. Depending on the cortisol level, he said he will refer me to an endcorinologist who will do an injection ACTH test on me. I know my morning cortisol is not below range, i already did a blood test myself once and i did the 4 x saliva tests, so there is no way he would refer me unless i show ian levels.....that what's i think anyway. But if i refuse then he may get awkward and not listen to me again. He told me if i genuinely had thyroid or adrenal issues i would not have been able to come in, i would be stumbling everywhere and collapsing, when i pointed out surely the body does not go from healthy to that stumbling state straightaway overnight and perhaps i am in between the stages, he shook his head and repeated 'you don't have adrenal issues because you would not be able to walk hardly, but we will rule it out so you must take the cortisol test'.
