Well, tests have all been done and I am glad to say there is nothing wrong.    They were testing for pituitary cushings which I too was sure I didn't have.    I just think my pituitary is just a bit sluggish as it does not release much TSH even when T3 and T4 extremely low.

Here are my results for comments please.Cortisol 17  (Expected values for serum cortisol on sample taken at 9am 101-536)Adequate cortisol suppression after dexamethasone.  Unlikely to be Cushings - locum consultant chemical pathologist.

24 hour urine cortisol 190 (40 - 340) a cortisol secretion of less than 280 indicates cushing unlikely.Cortisol 529 (101 - 536)ACTH 43 (0 - 50)

Ovarian antibodies negativeAdrenal cortex negativetestes antibodies negative.Androstenedione  7.6 (3 - 8)Short synacthen (which started about 8a.m.)

Cortisol 602, 30 minutes 722, 60 minutes 770.    No reference ranges given.FSH and LH were high 32.8 (3 - 8) and 14.9 (2 - 7) respectively (I am post menopausal though)

Testosterone 2.4 (o.3 - 3.8)17 Hydrogyprogest  2.5 (follicular and adult males 1 -8.7) (Luteal <18) (neonatal <20)So there you have it.   It means absolutely nothing to me.

It seems the consultant likes me.   I was in with the consultant and he had to speak to his registrar.   They met in the waiting room just where my husband was sitting waiting for me.     He heard part of the conversation where the consultant said he liked me.   I think he probably looks on me as a genial grandmother - as the consultant is probably young enough to be a grand son.    A bit embarrassing when he examined me though.

Still got the same problem of the machine at the hospital showing a higher blood pressure then the nujrse at the GP's.    So consultant wants GP to sort out medication to lower my BP but GP says my BP  is fine.    I am taking Co-Q10, Fish Oil, Selenium, hyaluronic acid in the hopes it will help my joints plus Erfa, T3, Metformin, and 2 types insulins, BP tablet, tablet to stop me being sick as I still have a touch of labyrinthitis, and a diuretic tablet).    I have a virtual chemist shop here, and as you can imagine - I rattle.
