T3 only back to Erfa

Hi Everyone,

Sorry I haven't been around much but do still read the posts.

I just wanted to let you all know how things were going.

I changed over to T3 only from 3 grains of Erfa back in October as I was still

suffering from those horrible deep aching cramp pains in my thighs. I thought I

may be suffering from reverse T3. Well I think I probably was as I got up to 90

mcg of T3 and settled after 14 weeks on 50 mcg.

Since I have an endo appointment in April and the consultant knows nothing about

my little T3 only trial I have decided to try to transfer back over to Erfa as

this is what he is prescribing for me and it took 6 months for me to get it

funded by the hospital.

I have gradually over the last 3 and half weeks dropped the T3 and have

introduced the Erfa back in grain by grain by dropping 12.5 mcg T3 for 1 grain

of Erfa (which contains 8 mcg T3). So this morning was the first day that I have

not taken any synthetic T3 and am just on 2 grains of Erfa. I feel a little

despondent as my legs are achy today and I am so worried that I may go back

downhill, I must add though that I did occasionally get the leg pains when on T3

so whatever it is I hadn't managed to eradicate them completely. Technically I

am now taking 16mcg T3 and 70 mcg of T4. I am wondering if perhaps I need to

take another 1/2 grain of Erfa but am frightened of going too fast as I know

that the T4 is not converted yet and will still build up.

Any advice would be welcome.

Love Lizzie
