Guest guest
Well, obviously something is going along that is stopping you from feeling 100%. You say your iron, zinc, magnesium, Vit C are good, but you need to post those results to us here so we can help with their interpretation. It really DOES matter where in the range these are. We need to know specifically where your levels of ferritin, vitamin B12, vitamin D3, folate, magnesium, copper and zinc levels lie so get these results from your GP. You should be taking at least 4/5000 vitamin D daily. Doc is wrong, you do NOT have to bring your TSH up. Why would you need ANY thyroid stimulating hormone when you are taking both T4 and T3 - obviously your pituitary recognises you have sufficient of these in your blood so it has no need to secrete any TSH. There is NO evidence that having a suppressed TSH will cause you osteoporisis and I am afraid your GP is spouting rubbish he has read elsewhere, but would not be able to explain it to you if you asked him - nor would he be able to supply any scientific evidence to prove this would happen. As far as headaches and hypothyroidism are concerned, check out this link http://headaches.about.com/od/comorbidconditions/a/thyroid_comorb.htm and also http://www.medical-library.net/hypothyroidism.html. Also, check out http://www.headacheexpert.co.uk/ThyroidDiseaseAndHeadaches.html You will find a link in the latter you will find a link where you can take part in a clinical trial http://www.clinlife.co.uk/lpg/1103/1?gclid=CNC0jOGGlKcCFQgMfAodHlblcQ Your rT3 is still within the reference range even though it is near to the top. How are you managing to take 6mcgs T3 - or should that read 60mcg T3. Luv - Sheila FT4 18.7 normal range 11-25 FT3 5.5 normal range 3.5-6.5 TSH <0.01 normal range 0.30-5.50 I'm taking 4 grains of Erfa and 6 mcgs of T3 per day. I feel no hypo/hyper symptoms…unless I'm put under physical/emotional stress. I sent off some blood to Genova for rT3 testing…I thought this maybe an issue, the results: rT3 serum 32.6 normal range 9.0-35ng/dl There wasn't any ratio given on the result, just the above. It looks to me like this could be my problem..?? Help…am I correct? .._,___
Guest guest
Hi Sheila, Thanks for your reply, I have Cynomel from Mexico 25mcgs I split it in 4 and wanted to try it to see whether the 4 grains of Erfa needed a little help. I don't really notice any difference with or without it. I haven't increased it anymore. I will get the results of my blood test and post them....I should have thought to do this, sorry. I remember my copper is just slightly high and my Vit D is just below norm range....endo said don't worry It's winter. I read somewhere that you have to very careful what Vit D you take, It has to be D3....where can you buy or what brand contains just Vit D3? Thanks for your help, Lv Tammy hour rT3 is still within the reference range even though it is near to the > top.
