Guest guest
Hi Folks, Long time no look here because I felt much better! I switched from T4 to Efra a year ago and felt massive benefits…..however I know I could and have felt better before I was diagnosed with Hypothyroidism. My problem lies in the fact that any exertive use of energy or stress results in me feeling ill for a few days afterwards, (generally hypo and flaring up my eczema as well) this was particularly bad on T4 but I found a massive relief in taking Erfa. I do feel 70% better on it and it allows me to do my job and deal with general day to day stuff and SLEEP..my God I was deprived for 6 years on T4. However I still cannot play a game of badminton without feeling the 3 day awfulness post a game. My iron, zinc, magnesium, Vit C are good, my adrenals are ok according to the questionnaire and home tests, my Vit D is slightly low..but it's winter. I went for a blood test last week: results: FT4 18.7 normal range 11-25 FT3 5.5 normal range 3.5-6.5 TSH <0.01 normal range 0.30-5.50 No bad! Doc says I have to bring my TSH up….otherwise my bones will crumble and my heart with flutter. Doc also says that headaches are not a symptom of hypo/hyper thyroid!! I said I beg to differ, as I know when I'm hyper/hypo according to my headaches….please someone tell me I'm not imagining this! I'm taking 4 grains of Erfa and 6 mcgs of T3 per day. I feel no hypo/hyper symptoms…unless I'm put under physical/emotional stress. I sent off some blood to Genova for rT3 testing…I thought this maybe an issue, the results: rT3 serum 32.6 normal range 9.0-35ng/dl There wasn't any ratio given on the result, just the above. It looks to me like this could be my problem..?? Help…am I correct? Incidentally my Endo says I'm the only patients of his on Erfa…really I said, that's amazing, I'm sure all the complainers would do wonderful on the stuff…..no one complains he said!!!…I did laugh, I felt like saying I'd complained for 6 years…he obviously wasn't listening! I get Efra from my GP and the Endo has also agreed to supply T3 as I said I'd purchased some from Mexico…Please can I have your valuable opinion on the rT3 issue. Thanks again for all your wonderful work…It's truly appreciated!
