Guest guest
here are some of my blood results. any comments? There are loads more butmainly blood and creatine/magnesium/potassium/testosterone/cholesterol etc Hello G. Without giving us a bit of information about yourself (diagnosis, symptoms, medication etc) it is difficult to comment. It would be useful to know a little about of your history and certainly see those other blood results you mention above, incl. of ref ranges. Purely going by those blood results below and without knowing anything about you, I would say JULY 2010TSH - 3.45 (0.35 - 6.0) too high in my view – looks like you might be heading for HypothyroidismFEBRUARY 2011TSH - 4.85mU/L (0.35 - 6.0) even higher – so looks even more like it might be heading for Hypothyroidism, but without seeing the FT figures and the thyroid antibody counts, a TSH alone (which is a pituitary hormone and not a thyroid hormone) will ONLY be diagnostic for hypothyroidism when the figure is above the ref range. For as long as it is not, no NHS doctor will diagnose you.... in particular not in the absence of any FT figures. B12 - 314ng/L (191-663) too low – should be at the upper end of the ref rangeFolate - 6.3ug/L (4.6 - 18.7) too low – you should supplement some folic acidFerritin - 190ug/L (15 - 350) level overall a bit high, although acceptable for a male, but for a female a level around the 100 mark would be better.... high ferritin can indicate chronic infection or inflammation in the body. Guest guest
Hi, TSh is rising, which is not a good sign- have you been diagnosed with hypothyroidism or are you still trying to get a diagnosis? most healthy folk have a TSH of around 1.0. > thyroid treatment > From: spyon4u@...> Date: Sat, 30 Apr 2011 10:59:40 +0000> Subject: my blood results - UPDATED> > I have added reference ranges> > here are some of my blood results. any comments? Guest guest
Still waiting on a diagnosis - seeing Endo for first time on 20th May. I have also noticed that low Folate is also a consequence of Hypo. I was also noted for running about all the time in tshirt & shorts, even in winter. Now I have to sit with a blanket around me and its 21c in the lounge right now - not a good sign! Will have to wait for 20th May now although I have taken some advice on board and am taking Folic Acid and Vit B complex to see if that helps with the poor energy levels. regards, G > TSh is rising, which is not a good sign- have you been diagnosed with hypothyroidism or are you still trying to get a diagnosis? most healthy folk have a TSH of around 1.0. > >
