HI ALL

Having visited DR PEATFIELD yesterday, apparently your thyroid can get better,

and I have heard that this can happen when the problem causing the thyroid gland

to malfunction has been dealt with.

With regards to my treatment from my GP with Prednisolone for the treatment of

Polymyalgia classified by my GP as an autoimmune illness.

This I gathered from DR PEATFIELD as not the answer, as my GP is apparently

treating my adrenal glands (I do not know if my GP realises this)which means

that in turn I would not need as much thyroxine. The Polymyalgia is also caused

by the adrenal glands, which in turn does fit in with the fall I had on that bus

last June.

He does feel that I need a small ammount of thyroxine 25mcg to help with

constipation and in turn the painful haemoroids.

My own feelings as to the cause of my Hypothyroidism are due to the former

Husbands lung condition in his family made worse though alcohol, and the fact

that I divorced in 2009, so no contact and ones thyroid gets better.

This has some bearing on my Mother-in-laws Diabetis also autoimmune and again

when her Husband was ill her Diabetis flared up, but even afer his death she had

to contend with hers sons lung condition.

Anybody else with ailng lungs could trigger my thyroid problems especially in a

hospital as happened recently in turn causing more pain in the muscles

(Polymyalgia), but in turn I have to wonder if long term treatment of 5mg of

Prednisolone would help prevent this I have yet to find out.

As to the lung condition I would guess Anytriptsin deficiency which can be

inherited, but in turn caused or made worse by alcohol consumption.

Us females will go to a GP when we or our children are sick, but the males

refuse to go until too ill to stand, so the males can trigger our immune

systems, in turn GP's get cross with us.

The Government could well have come up with a solution here, as anyone who has

not been seen by a GP for 6 months will be sent a letter from who they are

registered with, and if they do not attend they will be removed from the list. I

wish they had thought of this years ago.
