Guest guest
Well they could try looking at incidences of ME since the introduction of the Holy miracle of the infallible TSH test!!! > > Hi All, > > Article in the Daily Mail today - wish they would make up their minds. > >
Guest guest
This article is too vague to be useful. What research exactly are they talking about and what does it show? Let's hope the article in the Mail on Sunday is a bit better quality than this one. Guest guest
This article does rather throw out the baby with the bath water, which is a great shame. The jury is still out on whether or not the XMRV retrovirus plays a part in ME (most of the studies that have not found XMRV in ME patients have not been replication studies), but this article seems to rule out viruses completely as far as ME is concerned - which is sad, as all the evidence suggests otherwise. Most people with ME report their illness starting with some sort of viral infection, with a minority becoming ill following a vaccination (as in my case). It is thought that the initial infection can result in a long-term overactive immune response.
