Guest guest
Hi There's lots of good stuff on this superb site so it's just a matter of digging around. However, someone very recently posted this link which is very informative, so it might be worth starting there: http://nahypothyroidism.org/diagnosistreatment/ TonyC
Guest guest
Hi I posted this yesterday - http://nahypothyroidism.org/deiodinases/ it goes into a lot of detail Chris > > > Clearly my pituitary is compromised, so if it has a role to play in conversion I'd expect to have a good case for T3 replacement... well, you'd hope! *rolls eyes* Many thanks in advance. >
Guest guest
http://www.endocrineweb.com/conditions/thyroid/how-your-thyroid-works http://www.salugenecists.com/genpage.php?tname=disease & dbid=21 Luv - Sheila As you can see, my T3 is remaining subnormal and despite radically overhauling my diet and going to a personal trainer 3 times a week I cannot lose weight at all, plus I still have puffy eyes and fingers in the morning, dry skin and pain in my ankle joints. Probably to be expected given my T3 levels! I get to see the GP for another blood test next week so can someone explain or point me in the direction of material explaining the role of the pituitary in converting T4 to T3 so I am forearmed? Clearly my pituitary is compromised, so if it has a role to play in conversion I'd expect to have a good case for T3 replacement... well, you'd hope! *rolls eyes* Many thanks in advance.
