Guest guest
Sounds interesting - how do you alkalise the water?Would like to know as it looks as though I've got lurking candida to do battle with now (on top of everything else:).I believe candida thrives in a acid environment.Best wishes, Alison>> Been reading about the health benefits of drinking alkalised water, seems much ill-health is due to the body becoming
Guest guest
http://www.tpa-uk.org.uk/simonchini.php bicarb of soda's supposed to alkalise it, as are certain types of greens likes spirulina, i think? > >
Guest guest
Yes, it's half a teaspoon bicarb in a large glass of water, OR, half a lemon squeezed in same. I am giving it a try so hope to report improvements soon!
Guest guest
The more efficient way of alkalising body is actually to put a pinch of bicarb under the tongue.. this way it is absorbed sublingually into the blood and bypasses the neutralizing affect on the stomach acid.. which then makes it harder to digest food. Another tip is to food combine.. have animal proteins and non carb foods at lunch time only.. morning is low GI carb and evenings is carbs and veg.. This makes for more effective digestion of food, and can assist with better acid alkaline balance. Another side effect of this eating pattern is better sleep as the body is able to use sleep to regenerate cells rather than having to digest animal proteins which take about 5 hours of hard work by the stomach to break down. Third issue is that if you are not breathing effectively... ie not exhaling fully and living on high in the chest rapid breathing, not only does this contribute to a stress on the adrenals and the thyroid, it also leads to a build up of carbonic acid in the cells, which is most commonly the source of all high levels of acid in the body. e
Guest guest
I read that bicarb contains a high level of sodium. Is this correct? If so, I'm wondering whether it has an adverse effect if you're taking hydrocortisone - (doesn't hc also cause potential problems with sodium?)All best, alison>> The more efficient way of alkalising body is actually to put a pinch of
