Guest guest
I think you need to increase both Stacey. If this was me I would try another 10mcgs T3 and another 25mcgs T4 and see how you get on. Are you still taking the T3 split twice daily? Well done with the weight loss, you must feel very proud of yourself - now just imagine 42 lb packs of butter piled up in front of you, and that is the excess weight you were carrying. Luv - Sheila I have just had my bloods back after being on thyroxine which I have reduced from 75 down to 25mcg a day when I started self treating with T3 back in Feb and since losing weight (hCG) and reducing to 25 of T3 and I find that compared to this time last year I feel better than ever. I do tend to flag a bit now and then. Eating healthy and lost 21 lbs on hCG - going for another 10 lbs starting next week. My TSH is 0.78(0.35-5.5) Serum T3 4.4 (3.5-6.5) T4 is 4.6 (11.5-22.7) My T4 is low at 4.6 - does anyone know what this might. Do you think that I may need to increase my thyroxine again or my T3.?? Guest guest
Hi Sheila, I have been taking the T3 half am and half afternoon - I must admit for a few days I did take a whole one in the morning but that was just for convenience on that occasion. I cannot understand why my T4 is so low, wierd!? Thanks I will try to up doses again and see what happens - to be honest when I have done both rounds of hCG I have felt better all round and so have reduced a little - maybe too soon - we'll see. Thanks STacey
Guest guest
Hi Stacey, please remember that if you are feeling well with no symptoms that you stay on the dose of thyroid hormone replacement that you are taking. Don't titrate your drugs according to what thyroid function blood test results are telling you. If only doctors would listen to what their patients are telling them and not the results of blood tests only, and acted accordingly, we would all be so much better.
