I don't recommend playing around with growth hormones on their own. I know there

are many people who suggest these, many of the DRS in Suzanne Sommers books talk

about this. Throwing off the hormonal system can result and it's not worth it

unless you are working with an expert in this field. (just my opinion)

But, !!!! the good news is that Melatonin basically turns into human growth

hormone in the system which is one of the special things about Melatonin....It's

a natural secretion.

Suzy talks about this quite a bit in her book:

Does anyone take these?

Hi Jot

This is interesting! I take 3mg Melatonin every night. If this is correct (it turning into human growth hormone) can it have any side effects?

Yes, it is way cool !!!! and just one of the many, many things I have learned

from Suzy's book.....you want to keep your vitamin Bs up and use the correct

amount of melatonin (which is 3 Mgs for me).

I sometimes get headaches with using melatonin every night, so I alternate, one

day on one day off.

But, the only side effects of this are positive, better looking skin, etc. and

all that growth hormones do for us. Suzy specifically has info on what drugs may

interfere with this process, so you'd have to check that list to see.....but all

in all this is a very wonderful thing.

If you want to learn all the up to date info on supplements, I highly recommend

her book. I love it !!

Cheers,

JOT

Hi Jot

Thanks for the info. I will have to check out Suzy's book. One thing I have found with melatonin, if I cut the 3mg tablets in half, I still seem to get the same results! So a bottle lasts me ages.

Anyone interested in Melatonin, this is where I buy mine from: http://www.discounthealthproducts.co.uk/melatonin.htm

I think the prices on this site are quite competitive.

What i've read is that it stimulates GH, but doesn't turn into GH

http://onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/10.1111/j.1365-2265.1993.tb01773.x/abstract

CONCLUSIONS Our data indicate that oral administration of melatonin to normal

human males increases basal GH release and GH responsiveness to GHRH through the

same pathways as pyridostigmine. Therefore it is likely that melatonin plays

this facilitatory role at the hypothalamic level by inhibiting endogenous

somatostatin release, although with a lower potency than pyridostigmine. The

physiological role of melatonin in GH neuroregulation remains to be established.
