Guest guest
After starting NDT, you should really increase it by half a grain after 7 days, and stay on that dose for 3 to 4 weeks, before increasing it again by another half grain. You need to get what not function - functioning and the only way to do this is to find out exactly what dose NDT your body needs. Don't try to titrate your dose by thyroid function test results because it just doesn't work. If you ever take too much, your body will let you know a couple of hours or so after taking the increase. Exactly what adrenal support are you taking right now and how much? Luv - Sheila Hi Sheila, I'm pretty static ie. not bad but only at 1grain of Thiroyd as I had to stop and start again with my NDT. BP still goes down when I stand up and I have been on everything for adrenals since January. I can't say that the liquorice tincture after a month has made any dramatic difference though I am not one of the unfortunates who is really suffering. I've done just about 2 weeks so far on 1grain of NDT & I'm going really slowly. I can't make up my mind if my body is saying no to the NDT or if it is saying " up the dose " . Guest guest
Hi Sheila, I'm on 6 Nutri Adrenal Extra a day, 5000 Vit C, 2 Nutri Thyroid, 600mg Magnesium, 400mgs Selenium, 15mgs Zinc, Vit E, Vit D3 and a few other odds and ends. Iron and B12 I'm stopping today as I have got my levels well up on those. I sent you my blood test results in another message. You suggested I stop my NDT about 5 to 6 weeks ago as I felt it was not working. I never got up to my full dose for this reason and then I started again very slowly about a month ago and have got up to 1 grain so far with the addition of the tincture of liquorice. Having read the link you sent me I think it might be good idea if I give the tincture of liquorice a rest. What do you think? Guest guest
Well no wonder all your blood test results looked so great - obviously, you have been taking the right tablets. And yes, I would come off the liquorice tincture and see how you get on. Guest guest
Thank you Sheila, it has cost me an arm and a leg as my daughter is on the same supplements as me but we are both making good progress....Val > > Well no wonder all your blood test results looked so great - obviously, you > have been taking the right tablets.
