Guest guest
Hello all, I have been on Armour Thyroid and T3 for six months now, having previously been on T4 and T3. There was definitely an initial improvement when I made the change, but sadly it has not lasted. I had thought that when taking Armour, the T4 levels that show up in blood tests should be lower than when taking thyroxine due to better up take – but since going on Armour my blood FT4 levels have increased - March 2011 = TSH <0.02 (0.2 – 5.0) FT4 25.7 (10 – 25) (flagged up as too high without checking how I am, my symptoms, etc) August 2010 = TSH <0.02 (0.2 – 5.0) FT4 18.0 (10 – 25) My GP always requests FT3, but the lab rarely do it. NB I am on an anti-candida programme at present – don’t know if that could have affected the tests? Any thoughts welcome. Thanks.
