You can get tests without a doctor??

Sheila - I thought you needed a doctor's approval to go to a private lab - is

this wrong?

The doctor I saw proposed he take blood tests while I was there - I assumed £83

was the going rate for T3, TSH and T4 together, and was shocked to later learn

it could be done for hald the price.

As one poster has pointed out, £125 seemed relatively cheap for a first

consultation; it seems other aspects of the service here are much more expensive

than they need to be.
