Guest guest
Hi , Well done! That's good news that she actually listened and didn't patronise you too much!! If you're swinging around between hypo and hyper could you still be in the early stages of Hashimotos when the thyroid is still able to put up a fight and release extra hormones when under attack? If so, this wears off and the thyroid loses the fight.... If you would kindly send the name of the endo to Sheila@... she'll add her to her list. (Sheila is the founder of this group and website.) Fingers crossed that your test results are good.... but more importantly, that you feel well. x > > Hello all, I just wanted to share that I finally found an Endo that was open > to prescribing NDT. Guest guest
Hi I would wait until you are on the NDT before adding her to the doctors list if "she still isn't 100% on board with the NDT". My endo promised me NDT seven months ago and he has since told me that he is nervous prescribing it (he has patients on Armour and I asked for Erfa which he's nervous prescribing - idiotic, I know!!), and should he do so, then I must not complain about his protocol. I gather from my discussion with him that he would only increase my dose VERY slowly and he may never give me enough to make me better, especially if he follows lab results as those would naturally suppress the TSH, leaving me severely undermedicated.Just a thought!LoveJacquie> Hello all, I just wanted to share that I finally found an Endo that was open> to prescribing NDT. ... Guest guest
The list Sheila has for doctors who might be willing to prescribe T3 or Natural Dessicated Thyroid is for UK doctors. Lilian ps - who do I send her info to for " THE LIST " in the US?
Guest guest
Yes please, send her info both to the UK and US lists so other's who have not been lucky in finding such a doctor now have hope that there might be one in their area. The more we can 'educate' such doctors and they can see the difference between those on synthetic thyroxine - v - natural thyroid extract, the more they are likely to spread the word. Luv - Sheila It was so nice having a mature, rational, educated discussion with an Endo. Hell a Doctor in general! So, I just wanted to share and tell everyone on here who's having doc issues, HANG IN THERE! They ARE out there, don't give up. Keep looking! Cheers.
