Guest guest
Ok, impressed with the endo mostly so far. Very nice, he did get a bit tetchy in a you're-telling-me-how-to-do-my-job way when we discussed antibodies but that was it - otherwise very helpful and keen to get me sorted out. We were both running late - his appts were behind and I got lost - so didn't get a proper consult done today just a quickie, however the plan now is to get all the testing done then reconvene in 4 weeks and get started properly with all the info. He's doing all the tests except the antibodies (and I suspect candida, I asked him to reiterate what he was ordering and he just said 'sugar' for that so I reckon probably diabetes being tested for again). I asked about that and he said he doesn't think it would be relevant in my case - I pointed out about my sister having Hashimoto's, and he rattled off some stuff about everyone probably showing antibodies and it being a very misleading test, and him not wanting to mislead myself or him by having an erroneous result show for that. Smacks a bit of BS to me but I'm still not too familiar with the antibodies side of things so thoughts, anyone? He did listen when I talked about adrenal fatigue, predictably I'm having the short synthacen test. I'll be looking into getting a 24hr test done in the meantime, and candida too - am I right in thinking that one is an antibody test? Is it something I can order privately like the adrenal 24h?
