Guest guest
Hi all, just an update - After finally finding out that I needed Iron before any form of thyroid would 'take' I have successfully been on Armour and NAE since Sept last year with fantastic results. I started on (wait for it) - quarter of a quarter grain and now take 3 quarter grains split twice a day - in a morning and before bed - and sleep like a log. Brain fog has cleared and I think and can operate so much more, but lots of symptons still linger but hope will go in time - like the dry skin, muscle aches and inability to do much exercise, although I am improving on the latter. The big problem I have is that my left foot if uncomfortable - feels like it is being held in a vice. My chiropodist says (when I went with what I thought were corns) was it is not corns, but under my foot is imflammed and that's why I can no longer go out in my higher heels without being in agony. I also feel simililar pains in joins in my fingers and wrists. I did think it happens every time I up my dose. I am in no way hyper and can usually manage each increase well and need it. Last blood tests showed good T3 levels and low T4 so obviously converting. Saw Dr P and said fine. TSH had gone up to 2.67 thought after 3 months of Armour and came off for 24 hours to take. I feel heavy to carry around as if I have some fluid retention, because now I feel better off armour I am exercising, but I'm not loosing any weight. Any ideas would be gratefully received. Gp cannot see that I can be possibly carrying fluid as I have a naturally slim frame, but I know it's now as it was and I was constantly around 9 stone for years, and now over 10 and uncomfortable. Thanks J
