I have just come back from a visit to the endocrinologist at Grimsby Hospital.

My T4 levels were mid-range and fine, but my TSH was 0.035... almost

non-existent. He said he didn't like the fact that it was so low and I might be

taking too much Levothyroxine. (He doesn't know I tale 150mcgs of NDT a day). Is

my TSH level ok?

Also, I managed to convince him to let me have a blood test to see what my

Cortisol levels are like as last year was continuously the most exhausting and

stressful year of my life, with horrendous family and marital problems and I

felt on the verge of collapse for months on end. I have to have a blood test at

9am tomorrow. What would my Cortisol levels normally be like at that time in the

morning? I'd be grateful for any replies.

I would say this that a one of Cortisol serum cortisol at that has a limited amount of information attached to it. Your cortisol should be at its highest at 8am in the morning and slowly reduces over the day a little increase a round 3pm and then falls away until it is lowest at 11pm.

Your TSH is fine if your on supplement if it goes higher you will likely feel hypo.....he should have checked your FT4 your FT3 and rT3 (since T4 can convert to rT3 which is neutral). where do you get your NDT from if he doesnt know about it?
